Hari Rai Temple

Hari Rai Temple is addressed to Lord Vishnu in his Chaturmurti manifestation. Salabhana built this temple in 11th century. Built in Shikhara style, the temple is more elaborate than most because its Shikhara is decorated with carvings and it stands on a stone platform. Bridge leading to the temple, known as the Sheetla bridge was built in 1894.

This temple has a heavy lauded bronze statue of Lord Vishnu. According to it, River Ravi itself once flowed through the Chaugan and one had to wade across to the temple. The temple is simply an old and beautiful sculpture famous for its drastical history.
